Gracie
Gracie was originally surrendered to a county shelter that we happened to be visiting at the time. Left behind when someone moved, she clearly never had a chance to be properly socialized. Over the last several months she’s been a beloved family member and gotten to enjoy adventures to both the beach and mountains. Unfortunately conflict with the resident dog has led to needing to find her a pet free home so she can thrive.
Gracie has been evaluated by a veterinary behaviorist and has been diagnosed with generalized anxiety and spayed female-to-female social aggression. Because of this, Gracie needs to be the only dog in the home. She is not reactive toward unfamiliar dogs in passing, but it has been determined living with or frequently interacting with other dogs causes her stress and can lead to conflict over time.
She can be a bit vocal when she doesn’t get what she wants so a space with shared walls may not be ideal. Like any dog, Gracie would benefit from basic obedience training. She rides well in the car, is housebroken, and has no issues being crated.
To make the transition easier we’d love a foster-to-adopt home to minimize disrupting her routine too many times.
She is UTD on vaccines, has been kept on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, & is already spayed & microchipped.
Her adoption fee is $350.
